Re the cancellation or postponement of local elections and, tangentially, the failure of local authorities many years ago to clamp down on the rape gangs: it seems to me that we might be getting close to the moment when the docile, ovine even, British public finally start to fight back. No Taxation Without Representation was the slogan of the Americans before independence; if the elections don’t happen we should be looking for legal ways to delay or refuse council tax payment on those very grounds. The argument would be doubly powerful in those cities(most) affected by rape gangs, where clearly the councils and their various stooges are at the very least morally liable for a good kicking.
If these elections are cancelled it shows the true extent of corruption in this country and just how worried the two main parties are of Reform.
I believe Nigel will handle the Musk situation with his usual skill, and the fact he’s remained consistent on his principles is a good thing. I don’t have a problem with Musk saying what he says, Nigel will utilise any help he gets from Trump and Musk to his advantage and distance himself where he sees fit. Musk has blown the lid off the Rape Gangs scandal and that is what it needed, it’s the talk of the world, and so it should be. His comments on Nigel’s leadership may have been harsh, but Nigel responded with grace… he can still get what he wants, he’s smart.
I watched the Mahyar Tousi video and most of the respective authorities asking for delays to their elections have very similar failures as councils, in particular with failures in many children’s services, it seems a common theme in the country these days. Britain is currently a safe guarding nightmare and a corrupted dump with politicians caring more about their careers than the folks they represent.
I'm still not convinced Reform are destroying the Tories, their vote share hasn't budged since the G.E. If that starts dropping I'll believe it but so far it all seems to be Labour movers. If that goes right to the next GE. I think the Toroes will pip Reform. Perhaps we need to see a break through the FPTP before I think the Tories are decimated. Ex Tories like me are going to need to see a serious decline in Tory % to be convinced.
I still have worries about being too close to Musk and Trump, any wrong move on their part may ruin the reputation of Reform.
I think I'm still on edge about it all although my support for Rwform is unwavering.
Great report Michael. Musk's intervention on the rape gangs will claim a lot of scalps, this is going to wreck Labour: https://x.com/mahyartousi/status/1876414431237980216?s=12

That sounds like an excellent idea, I agree entirely 👍 💯
