You may have noticed that the attacks on Reform UK have been ramped up significantly in recent days.
With General Election day fast approaching, perhaps that is no surprise.
Particularly given the entry of Nigel Farage into the election campaign has dominated much of it, with political opponents scrambling to come up with a strategy to counter him.
Meanwhile the latest research actually shows a number of new firsts for Reform. No wonder the establishment are so rattled then.
Before I get to the very latest though, allow me to thank paid supporters of Heaver News for your comments in response to my previous article.
Looking ahead to the election, RW52 seems somewhat optimistic:
“I honestly don't know what's coming....Can I dare to dream?”
Hilary is looking forward to the prospect of Reform MPs:
“Let’s hope the Reform momentum keeps gaining evermore traction and horrifying all the right people.
“It will be a pure delight to see Nigel and some other Reformers in the Commons upsetting all the main parties apple carts.”
Whilst Zorro gave this assessment:
“Allowing for a little imagination draw a graph starting at zero a month ago, 2 RUK seats two weeks ago to 7 seats this week.
“If there's a trend could it double, treble in a week? 14, 21? Pencil in a best worse projection.
“I mentioned the Tipping Point - where things take on substance and expand once they reach 25%.”
As ever the hopelessly outdated First Past The Post electoral system is brutally unfair to new and smaller parties trying to breakthrough.
But we have seen a number of new firsts for Reform that make the chances of a significant impact better than ever before.
