Well this General Election campaign is certainly getting spicy, isn’t it?
I was actually with Nigel Farage in Clacton this week - you can watch my report here.
It’s notable that the narrative has already shifted to how many seats Reform UK are likely to win, rather than if they can.
When it comes to Nigel’s chances in Clacton, a new Survation constituency poll currently puts him in front on 42% compared to 27% for the Conservatives.
The thought of the Reform Leader in the House of Commons will already terrify the political establishment in this country.
That breakthrough alone would have huge consequences for British politics moving forward. You’ll notice that Farage has a pretty formidable record at building political movements, winning arguments and securing outcomes.
But the idea that Nigel could be elected leading a group of Reform MPs will absolutely petrify the Westminster establishment, whose current cosy system would be reduced to rubble.
Increasingly the Conservative campaign is appearing desperate. The tired old argument of ‘vote for us because Labour are even worse’ is not moving the dial. Reform voters are not for turning.
And so you are seeing a range of national polls released in recent days that are truly extraordinary. The Tories decimated. Reform breaking through. And perhaps even Rishi Sunak himself struggling to win his own seat.
The voter revolt is well underway - here is what’s happening.
