My daughter is a trauma orthopaedic staff nurse, she works full time and her shifts are 12.5 hours, it’s a very heavy ward, elderly, broken hips very many with dementia/Alzheimer’s… she now knows that she earns less than a woman that was on GB NEWS this morning, from South Shields (my home town 1:5 on benefit) that she didn’t get enough from the government … she’s part time single mother, 3 kids, Universal Credit, now gets the newly uncapped child credit allowance, ‘free’ (not free) school meals and breakfast, only does the bare minimum of hours, gets housing benefits etc., you get the picture… whilst my NURSE daughter works in the precious bloody NHS that everyone cribs on about… benefit Brenda, meanwhile, wants more! It’s takes approx 3 workers for 1 claimant, 3:1 … this cannot work! I can’t wait for the whole system to collapse and see if the locusts leave as quickly as they arrived!
Your daughter deserves much more than that woman - unfortunately so many like her. Who can understand a government that rewards feckless men/women who don't work and don't reward the hard workers?
