Kemi Badenoch would have been hoping for a boost, a Conservative bounce upon her taking the reins of the Tory Party.

In fact there have instead been a steady stream of defections to Reform UK - and signs that Nigel Farage is increasingly being viewed as the next potential Prime Minister.

There is no doubt that the momentum continues to build for Reform: Labour are already panicking, with Farage’s party already having overtaken Starmer and Co.

There are a lot of things happening right now - and it all points to Reform quickly gaining ground. This will really worry Badenoch’s allies.
