Conference season is here and it will be, as ever recently, Reform setting the agenda.
Let’s begin by considering this remarkable statistic: just 11% of the country currently approves of what Keir Starmer’s Government are doing.
YouGov find 70% of the nation now disapproves of the Government’s performance.
It is incredible to think that Starmer and his allies came into power with that parliamentary majority - but seemingly no plan at all.
All Labour have done is accelerate the broken Tory agenda: whacking up taxes, allowing the illegal migration emergency to get worse and pushing on with the Net Zero agenda of higher energy bills.
We have also been witnessing a chilling clampdown on free speech, as Nigel Farage warned America about this week.
Nigel meanwhile is discussing the possibility of an early General Election, perhaps even as early as 2027.
As Labour’s painful shambles in office continues to unfold, don’t be surprised if you see Starmer’s party totally implode.
Many Labour MPs already realise they are toast at the next election and I expect to see defections.
The anticipated Conservative wipeout has been much spoken about. But Labour could witness a similar fate.
A recent estimate put Reform on course for close to 400 seats.
But equally as striking is that the same projection found Labour sinking to third, below the Liberal Democrats. The Tories would be down to only 21 MPs.
Don’t rule anything out. The traditional, old party loyalties are being melted down and discarded at a rapid rate.
Reform’s task is to totally reset our politics and to learn from the horrendous failings of Labour and Tory Governments who talk and talk but deliver nothing.
Nigel is already totally outclassing Starmer and dominating the agenda.
That isn’t opinion, but fact: by a margin of 44% to 14%, Brits now say that Reform are setting the political agenda rather than Labour.
A party with just a handful of MPs setting the agenda ahead of a Labour Government with a big majority exposes the brutal reality for Starmer: he has already lost control of the narrative and voters see through the slop currently being served in Westminster.
The country is ready for a Reform Government with a concrete plan of action ready to hit the ground running. I’m confident that’s exactly what we will see.
We might still have a country left by 2027 but I'm not so sure about 2029 so fingers crossed for an early GE. I'm not blaming Labour for all of it, but they had a bloody long time to make plans and it seems that didn't cross their minds....unless doubling the alleged black hole and increasing the number of illegal immigrants was the plan, in which case they're well on target. Have a good weekend all and thank you as always, for your updates Michael.
