There is a growing scandal that I’m sure the Conservatives and now Labour will try to ignore.

Before I get to that though, thanks for the feedback from paid subscribers in response to my previous article looking ahead to who could be the next Conservative Leader.

Mrs. Bucket, as ever, didn’t exactly hold back:

“A village is missing Tugendhat, the worst sort of Tory.

“Braverman should be bold and join Reform, she's good. Kemi is the Tories’ best bet so they won't choose her.”

Whilst Penny added this idea:

“I totally agree that Suella would indeed be a feather in our cap....and for the exact reason that you've said, perhaps we can have Kemi as well because the Tories seem to be on self destruct....which is fine by me.”

However Zorro had a bit of a different take:

“Yes with the proviso Kemi will be the last nail in the Tory coffin. If there's any sentimentality at all for them keep her well away, she's a snake.”

Whoever becomes the next Tory Leader will be dealing with the smouldering wreckage of a much diminished party that could have delivered so much change since 2019 and simply refused to do so.

Throughout the General Election campaign we did see Nigel Farage repeatedly raise the population explosion in this country, started by Labour and continued by the Tories.

We’ve just seen the newest figures released on this - and they are utterly shocking.
