I think you'll find the problem is new UK/EU rules making 'hate speech' on a platform the responsibility of the platform with HUGE fines if someone who uses hurty words. Trump and Musk aren't the problem, have you seen some of their recent output on their own platforms???? They are using VERY plain language to make Guardian readers self combust.
I'm talking about a website run by an American company in Britain, OUR country, which Trump has failed to even notice. He needs to either close them down in the UK or to allow criticism which is moderated only for illegal statements; current UK law allows criticism of religion just as it allows criticism of a particular phiosophy or idea. The government is struggling to dismantle that right and its not yet illegal. Trump and Rogan and all the others are continuing to criticise the British for removing free speech whilst AT THE SAME TIME an American company is allowed to shut down anything they disagree with. You need to inform yourself about free speech and what is allowed. Have you been on your local Next Door and seen their rules?
Currently only defunding the unions and a national strike will have any effect , reform need to look at legal action against cancelling elections , this year and next year councils are not reshuffle and ready (allegedly) the year after there will be other excuses act now
They know they won't get in again John, and they've got to stick to their Re-set timetable, so until they achieve their dream, you're right, there'll always be other excuses....fortunately a lot more people are opening their eyes at last. 🙋

Jack, posting a video on YouTube is NOT 'doing something' - it's got no views and 'comments are turned off' so you are censoring opinions just as you complain NextDoor does. If your actions get sod all views, it's a waste of time. 'Doing something' means producing a carefully/cleverly worded leaflet and dishing it out in good numbers, at the very minimum.

Please, be honest, WHAT are you doing apart from commenting on social media? I'm not interested in watching a repeat of Zia talking about immigrants. Its YOU I want to see fighting back, not Zia. I would be very supportive of you for any efforts you are making to do something positive yourself, instead of relying on others. I will continue to tell everyone about my videos as they are posted. I can understand why people are disillusioned. But voting is always worth it. And a Reform Government will be genuinely different.
Of course I'd always vote but the Reform groups I've encountered in my area are heartbreakingly useless, couldn't run a bath.

It's disgusting. Cancelling elections in England two years in a row is truly bonkers stuff.
