This was an interesting contribution from Jim in response to my previous post on Reform’s rising momentum boosted by Conservative defections:
“I completely understand why many patriots are deeply concerned about infusing too many Tories into Reform, as they, quite rightly, do not want it to become Tories 2.0.
“However, the exception proves the rule, and each case should be objectively weighed and decided upon calmly, and upon its true merits.
“In particular, I feel that in the case of Suella Braverman and her husband, we should welcome them, as she has consistently displayed bravery and intellectual brilliance in dissecting the harm of mass migration. I believe she is sincere and should be given a chance to unite with us.”
The prospect of Suella Braverman becoming a Reform MP has been a rumour that has constantly swirled basically since the election.
Such talk will only grow as Reform overtake the Conservatives as the main challenger to Labour.
Indeed on top of a number of fascinating by-election results this week, there is already evidence of Reform surpassing the Tories nationally.
This is astonishing stuff so early into the new Parliament.
