The sides have now been chosen.
Labour and Conservative Governments refuse to leave the ECHR, doing virtually nothing to stop the boats.
The end result? Around 180,000 mostly young men have now been allowed to cross illegally from France to England on boats.
Subsequently we’ve seen migrant hotels spring up across the country, with the Government using taxpayer money to fund them.
Free housing for illegal migrants is fundamentally unfair and rewards those who have broken into our country. None should be allowed to stay.
It has been tragic to witness Labour and Tory weakness that has allowed the country to get into this state.
Communities across our nation are worried. They have every right to be. What we have seen unfold is shocking, extreme and completely unacceptable.
This country has witnessed a series of Prime Ministers talking tough - but doing nothing.
That is why Reform’s ‘Operation Restoring Justice’ is so vital.
It boils down to which side you are on: of an outdated international framework backed up by foreign courts or strong borders for this country?
The Reform plan is to leave the ECHR, repeal the Human Rights Act and disapply any UN Convention or other barrier that stops deportations from taking place.
That is the ultimate alternative approach now set out: detain, deport and don’t allow anyone coming illegally via boat to ever be allowed to stay.
If you actually want to stop the boats, this is the only approach that will work.
Good on the Reform Party!!. We can't carry on with this situation. Tories and Labour have done nothing to reduce immigration, in fact they have encouraged it. I'm on the side of Reform!!.
Michael I emailed you a few weeks ago but didn’t get a reply. We need to know that Nigel has a plan for dealing with the Civil Service, NGOs , activist judges, media, reforming the changes to the constitution made under Blair, etc. So a plan for returning all this power to parliament that can be enacted quickly. We don’t want Reform to experience what Trump did in his first term.
