So just how vulnerable are the Tories to the emergence of a new party?
There is little doubt that the Brexiteer coalition of voters that overwhelmingly backed the Tories in 2019 has since splintered considerably.
What some in Westminster still don’t seem to comprehend is that more Conservative voters have switched to backing Reform UK than the Labour Party. More on Reform in a moment.
Clearly plenty of Leavers - including many of you who read and comment on Heaver News - are far from happy with the Conservative Government’s record of delivery (or lack thereof).
The Government has of course overseen even higher levels of net migration, record levels of illegal immigration and still refuses to leave the ECHR.
So this latest research from Redfield and Wilton really does expose once again how vulnerable the Conservatives are if they can’t get Brexiteers back on side quickly.
