Voters Want This Change
Another issue where Westminster is distant from the majority of the country.

Thanks to paid supporters of the newsletter for your feedback to my last post. Want to know what voters make of the Conservative Government’s continuing failure to stop the boats? Mikemac had this to say:
“Well clearly Sunak has not stopped the boats and cannot stop the boats with his policy.
“This is why I cannot change my policy either of never voting 'Conservative' ever again.”
I’m sure there are many former Tory voters who share the same outlook right now.
Thanks to Lia who appreciated my suggestions on how to get tough on the illegal immigration crisis (cancel French fishing licences, take the boats straight back, exit ECHR) and also commented on the US Presidential campaign:
“Your suggestions on how to deal with the French invasion are spot on. Too bad the Government just do not want to listen.
“As for the US, I saw Tucker Carlson interviewing Viken Ramaswamy and he came across very well.”
Another issue where the Government - nor the vast majority of Westminster it seems - are remotely interested in listening is when it comes to the death penalty.
It is dismissed as something that even a Conservative Government would never even contemplate as part of the justice system.
But as with so many other issues, those in the political system are vastly out of touch with public opinion.
As a society I think we’ve gone far too soft with a general lack of discipline, which is reflected in some of the absolutely pathetic sentences dished out to many violent criminals nowadays.
There is massive public support for a far tougher approach on law and order, including when it comes to the death penalty.
Redfield and Wilton’s latest research shows a majority of the country supports it being used for convicted terrorists, multiple rapists, multiple murderers and child murderers.
Of course it is unlikely that capital punishment will be part of the justice system.
But be in no doubt - it still has support from the majority of voters in this country whether Westminster wants to listen or not.
Incredible developments in the Netherlands where the brand new, recently launched New Social Contract party are now leading the national polls.
Set up by Independent MP Pieter Omtzigt, the NSC would now go from not even existing a short while ago to winning the most seats of any party if the election were held now.
It demonstrates the dynamism of a Proportional Representation system. What a gigantic contrast to First Past The Post which erects huge barriers for any new parties to win seats in.
Not only is Donald Trump still backed by a majority of Republican voters, but Ipsos also have him ahead of Joe Biden in a potential rematch.
Their latest poll has Trump on 52% amongst the Republican field, with Ron DeSantis the only other candidate receiving double digit support.
On top of that, Trump currently leads Biden 38-32 though that is with 30% of US voters saying they are undecided. Game on then.
We all know what the 2 "main parties" are looking for and rhe only party that wants to help the UK are the Reform Party who I will be voting for..
I read this brilliant comment in the paper this morning about "our" politicians which echoes my thoughts:
"You destroyed communities by bringing in outsiders.
You told us we had no right to live where generations of our families were born and bred because outsiders were housed before our own children.
You took money from our taxes to give in benefits to people who hadn't paid a penny in when they arrived on our shores.
You didn't educate our children because you were too busy giving outsiders preferential treatment.
You locked down our country, told us we couldn't work to pay the bills and refused us furlough while allowing billions to go on fraud.
You decided White working-class boys were privileged and discarded them since the 80s.
You took us into wars in foreign lands against the will of the People.
You gave away our sovereignty to a group of foreign countries and are planning to do it again with the WHO Treaty.
You decided that we should pay for foreign aid instead of aiding our own.
You decided that we should all be poorer and hungrier, and our taxes should go on renewables without a referendum.
Your Party PM decided he should knock two democratically elected PMs out of the nest to squat in No.10.
You allowed child rape gangs of foreign nationals to rape White working-class girls.
You are soft on policing and pathetic on sentencing and our streets are unsafe.
You allow stabbers to walk free with a slap on the wrists and terrorists to walk among us.
You and your ilk are the problem.
We've given enough."
If I could I would give this post a Thousand ticks. So correct and to the point. We are SCREWED.
