Time Running Out
Red Wall Tory MPs are heading for a complete wipeout.
Time is fast running out for Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives to turn around their fairly dire poll numbers ahead of the next General Election.
The Government’s pledge to ‘stop the boats’ is looking increasingly flimsy and there is still absolutely no sign of the Rwanda policy ever actually being implemented.
Similarly there is seemingly no prospect of Sunak committing to get out of ECHR anytime soon either.
Paid subscriber Mike summed up what many Leavers are clearly feeling with his comment on my last article:
“Sunak is still trying to kid everyone he will stop the boats.
“The migrant figures go up each month so please do not fall for this trick again.
“It is just more lies from the Tory Leader. I cannot wait for all the current Tory MPs to lose their seats.”
Paid supporter Patrick’s verdict was equally direct:
“Does anyone care what the Tories put in a manifesto?
“No one will read it, if they do they won’t believe it. And they certainly won’t get the chance to enact it.”
And the harsh reality is that many Conservative MPs are heading for a total election wipeout - including in the Red Wall.
Redfield and Wilton’s latest research shows the scale of the Tory defeat that could be on the horizon.
Their poll shows Labour on 53% in the Red Wall, a 27-point lead over the Tories who are on 26% in these constituencies.
Crucially, Reform UK perform relatively strongly again in third place on 9%.
Those numbers would mean Labour winning all 40 Red Wall seats, with Tory MPs across the board in these areas losing their seats.
It is a reflection of just how frustrated many who backed the Tories in 2019 now are.
Remainstream media may not like it, but YouGov’s recent polling once again demonstrates that more voters overall support the Rwanda policy than opposite it.
Significantly, that includes 70% of Conservative supporters with just 16% against.
When it comes to Leave voters the numbers are similar, with 69% backing the Rwanda policy.
Rishi Sunak recently reiterated that:
“The policy of this Government is very simple, it is this country - and your Government - who should decide who comes here, not criminal gangs.
“And I will do whatever is necessary to make that happen.”
But his party and Government are fast running out of time to actually start delivering.
Hands up anyone who thought ANY proposals on immigration by the fake Tories were anything other than more kicking the can down the road for their UN/WEF masters?? Tory voters need to wake up, the Tory party hasn't been remotely Tory since the phoney soft left David Cameron was slid in as leader. He was the 'Heir to Blair', said it himself, lied about everything. Stop falling for the blue rosettes.
Most people don't seem to realise that if the Rwanda plan goes ahead, it's an exchange system. We send our immigrants to Rwanda, and they send back their vulnerable. Not much of a solution is it??
