What a miraculous change in tone!

A little over one year of being in Government and suddenly Labour now want you to believe they’re going to be tough on borders.

This sudden u-turn comes with Labour now fourth in some polls, led by the most unpopular PM in history.

With the prospect of electoral wipeout looming, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood yesterday sought to convince Britain that she will reform the system.

But rather than what Labour are now saying, let’s look at what has actually happened on their watch.

Because the first year of the Keir Starmer Government saw a record 111,000 asylum claims.

That’s the highest number of asylum applications in a year since records began.

We’ve also seen close to 40,000 more people allowed to cross from France to England on small boats, as illegal immigration continues at a truly obscene level.

You don’t hear much from Labour about ‘smashing the gangs’ anymore. That’s because their policy is an embarrassment and total failure.

And so with Labour down to just 15% in some surveys, they now want you to believe that they are going to reform the asylum and immigration system. Reform it. Hmm.

As some open border Labour MPs now kick off at any tightening of the rules whatsoever, there is a fatal weakness in the Government’s plan.

They will remain committed to and restricted by the ridiculous ECHR which will ultimately stop the disastrous current situation from changing fundamentally.

With that in mind then, it’s worth weighing up the country’s choice now.

To believe in Keir Starmer’s Labour Government to deliver - or instead elect a Reform UK Government.

It is crystal clear right now that the public want a clear out in Westminster, with hundreds of Reform MPs set to be elected, if the election were held now.

With that in mind then, let’s look at what the Reform alternative is.

This is what Reform are now planning - and it goes far beyond what Labour will ever do.
