Sunak Declines Vote
The PM has rejected the prospect of a green referendum.

Mike certainly wasn’t holding back as he gave his assessment of Rishi Sunak’s Government:
“Quite simple to stop the boats. Come out of ECHR, it's out of date and not needed.
“PUSH and TOW the boats back to France. The Australians did it for their country. So we need to do the same.
“Please don't anybody tell me that will be illegal, it's not. I am sick of lefty lawyers and charities poking their noses in.
“The government should decide. This government under Sunak has been humiliated at every turn. The whole world is laughing.
“Sunak better you go now to save the UK any more embarrassment, and somebody to replace you, who will stop the boats.”
I have previously remarked that when it comes to the green agenda and energy policy, Rishi Sunak has clearly gone into campaign mode.
It seems the Conservatives will be looking to contrast their approach on energy security with Labour, after the Government green-lighted hundreds of new North Sea oil and gas licences. That has large public support.
But if Sunak is to have any hope of winning back the support of many who have abandoned the Tories since 2019, he’s going to need to go much further.
Clearly there is increasing scrutiny of the Net Zero agenda: how much is it going to cost? Who is paying? Are the timescales sensible?
Hence there has been increasing talk from some Conservative MPs about a referendum on Net Zero.
This was welcomed by Reform Party Leader Richard Tice who has long pushed for such a vote.
But the prospect of any green referendum has been quickly rejected by Sunak.
In doing so he’s ruled out another decisive move that could have gone someway to proving to 2019 Tory voters that the current PM is listening and is willing to make bold decisions.
I find it telling that The Telegraph story on Sunak’s ruling out of a referendum featured a poll asking readers if Net Zero should indeed be scrapped.
These readers are the sort of people any Conservative Leader needs to be in touch and onside with.
With close to 15,000 votes on The Telegraph poll, 88% agree that Net Zero should be scrapped.
Once again it seems the Tory Government are at odds with many of their traditional supporters.
Referendum Confirmed
Those in Poland will get to vote this October: both at an election and a referendum.
The Polish Parliament has now approved a four-question referendum to take place on 15th October.
It will include giving Polish voters the opportunity to express their opinion on the EU’s new Migration Pact. Brussels won’t approve!
Media Shift
The coming inevitable changes to the media landscape in this country (and indeed across the world) are enormously exciting.
Lefty editors are rapidly losing power as people are able to flick on YouTube and choose the content they want to watch.
Those who want to produce independent content can now do so with few significant costs. It is a complete game-changer that will accelerate media choice even further.
This new ecosystem will empower ordinary punters and decentralise media power away from the woke corporates.
It is an amazing trend that is reflected in Redfield and Wilton’s latest research that shows social media is already close to overtaking TV News as the primary news source for people. Onwards!
Trumped
Donald Trump is still the frontrunner to win the Republican nomination over in America.
I mean that is somewhat understating it: Trump’s lead remains colossal and pretty unprecedented.
At the same stage of the electoral cycle back in 2015, his lead in the field was 12%.
In 2023 his lead is over 40%, retaining the support of more than half of Republican voters.
The likes of Ron DeSantis and rising star Vivek Ramaswamy will need to try and make a big impression in the upcoming debates if they want to make this race competitive.
Otherwise a Trump vs. Biden rematch very much looks on the cards.
Sunak doesn't dare upset his WEF masters.
They keep saying he's no backbone and he's useless...NO WAY..him and Hunt are very clever people they are just following orders from their masters (WEF)..They have no concern about what they are doing to this country. I think it's time for Mr Tice to stop doing his "Sunday Sermons" and start to spread the word on MSM.
