A huge danger for the Government: that despite all of the tough talk we have seen going on endlessly now, the Rwanda policy never actually gets properly implemented.

Despite the ECHR’s intervention we have still seen much talk of Rwanda being part of the answer to stopping illegal migration across from France. But nothing has actually happened.

The Government have committed to ECHR membership despite Home Secretary Suella Braverman having spoken of the need to leave.

It seems voters are now far from convinced that the Rwanda scheme will ever happen at all.
