Hello all! Welcome back to Heaver News. I hope you are all well.
By now Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives would have been hoping to squeeze Reform UK’s support and build some signs of a comeback against Labour.
Instead, the opposite is happening and the Tories could find themselves reduced to just 66 seats.
Increasingly the question to ask is: who do you want in opposition to Labour? A divided Tory Party or a united Reform one?
Before I get to where we are in this General Election campaign though, allow me to once again thank the paid supporters of this newsletter for their comments, including Mrs Bucket who recently remarked:
“Odd that there is little commentary from Tory rats deserting their chaotic, useless, treacherous 'party'.
“Are they all busy booking flights to get away from Starmer's Socialist Britain?”
It is true that a huge number of Conservative MPs are standing down. And the current silence from Tories disturbed by their party’s lacklustre campaign cannot hold forever.
In fact I didn’t see any real message from the Tory Party over the weekend, other than a Jeremy Hunt interview with the Sunday Telegraph. It was all a bit odd.
Particularly when you consider the incredibly dire situation the party finds itself in. This really could be a total wipeout for the Conservatives, with Reform’s support proving resilient.
There have already been a number of very interesting signs during this campaign that you may not have picked up on. I’ll run through them now.
