Well, here we go.
The Reform UK Board Election is officially underway, with the vote opening after yesterday’s hustings.
If you missed the hustings, you can watch it back here (I’m on from 59:05).
Reform Members should look out for an email from Civica Election Services/takepart@cesvotes.com for your unique link to vote.
With Reform now leading as the most popular party in the country, it’s easy to forget that this is still a relatively new party.
It was great to see the other Board candidates, some of whom I had met before and many I had not.
The quality of those putting themselves forward shows that Reform is growing with a tremendous depth of talent.
All should be commended for putting themselves forward.
My pitch is to utilise my experience over the years as an activist, candidate, commentator, campaigner and MEP to help ensure we get thousands of Reform Members across the country elected.
Critically, we must ensure we get a Reform Government at the next General Election.
And so this opportunity for the Reform Board to listen to and represent the growing membership of the party is a vital one.
Hopefully I will get that opportunity.
But regardless of whether I’m elected onto the Board or not, yesterday’s hustings showed that the party is on the right track and is evolving in a very encouraging way.
As ever, thanks so much for your many kind messages and comments!
You were brilliant Michael, I watched live! I voted straight away, and wish you every success 👍👍👍
I too have already voted for yourself and Mr Grimes and one of the ladies whose name escapes me already....don't get old Michael, it's not for the faint hearted, I assure you. I agree with both Mrs B (who I always think should be running herself) and Elizabeth.
When will we hear who has been chosen....do you know? Good luck anyway.
