Hello and welcome back to another edition of Heaver News!
As ever a big thank you to the paid supporters of this newsletter who posted some interesting comments to my article on Reform UK hitting 12% in a Wales Westminster poll.
RW52’s view is that:
“I think Reform hold the trump card in leaving the ECHR. Hopefully they'll advertise this more nearer the GE?
“Sunak and the Tories are finished and Starmer is stupid and fickle so we have a great chance to put some pressure on him.”
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Tories did put a commitment to finally ditch ECHR in their next manifesto.
The problem for them is that will likely come after failing to stop the boats, which they still are.
Paid subscriber Anita clearly isn’t happy with the Government’s performance either, writing:
“Serves them right for ignoring the people. Can't wait for them to lose their seats!”
Whilst when it comes the futures of Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage, Lia wrote:
“My concern is that instead of Boris joining Reform, as some have hinted, that Nigel may join Boris in a new party.”
One thing that is absolutely certain right now is that national polls are indicating large Labour leads, the Tories struggling and Reform with some of their highest ever levels of support.
That includes a bombshell poll released at the weekend that really does demonstrate the shift that seems to be underway now.
