Only Suella Can Save The Tories
'Right now, only one captain is courageous enough to chart a way through this mess. And that’s Suella the Brave. '
Forget the Prime Minister, right now Suella Braverman is the most important person in British politics.
Fearless and in-tune with crucial Red Wall voters, she is the only person who can captain the seemingly-doomed Tory Titanic past the iceberg guaranteed to finally sink it and let Labour into Number 10: illegal immigration.
In Parliament and in the media, she’s doing the bidding of every working class Brit, desperate for a hero to stop the armada of dinghies crossing the Channel. She’s a modern-day Sir Walter Raleigh.
Her enemies obsess over words like “invasion” but the open borders, #RefugeesWelcome brigade have no solutions – which is why they shoot the messenger and ignore the message being roared by ordinary Brits: we want our borders back!
She’s fighting the same old cabal of metropolitan Remainiacs who tried to derail Brexit: Thornberry, Lammy, Anna Soubry, Yvette Cooper, the Remainstream media, Lefty lawyers and the bloated civil service.
But she must stand firm. For true Blues, working class Brexiteers and Red Wallers, illegal (and uncontrolled legal) immigration is the burning issue of our times. Nothing else so captures our failure to “take back control,” or the sense that we’ve become “soft touch Britain”.
Brits will no longer swallow the cold gruel of a refugee hotel bill of £7 million a day – or £2.5 billon per year – while coughing up more taxes for Sunak the Scrooge.
Red Wall MPs tell me “stop the boats” is the number one inbox issue. These MPs are growing increasingly dismayed – and vocal. Straight-shooters like Lee Anderson want to tow the dinghies back to France. Well-liked Marco Longhi is spitting feathers about a care home in Dudley that’s been repurposed as a refugee hotel, with no planning permission.
Once, only Nigel Farage had the courage to speak out like this. But Red Wallers are staring down the barrel of losing their seats. The gloves are off. These working class heroes won’t be muzzled by Ministerial or bag-carrying roles. They see Suella as their saviour.
The pressure and appalling abuse she will face will be relentless. She’s already being compared to Hitler – and her critics have barely started.
For the Tory wets in leafy Remainer shires – those who rictus-grinned their way through the 2019 General Election pretending to back Brexit – this may prove too much to stomach.
But if they turn on Braverman as they did on Brexit, they will be committing electoral hari-kari. What chance then of Tory defections to parties like Richard Tice’s Reform? Don’t rule it out.
So, the Tories once again have an existential choice. In 2019, Theresa May was wiped out by the Brexit Party. Only Boris’s promise to “Get Brexit Done” saved them.
Now, a failure to “Stop The Boats” could finally torpedo them.
Winter weather in the Channel will give them some much-needed breathing space. But if the Tories don’t get to grips with immigration, Sunak will be sunk. The Conservative Party would be wrecked for a generation, perhaps forever.
Right now, only one captain is courageous enough to chart a way through this mess. And that’s Suella the Brave. But does her Party have the guts for the choppy seas that lie ahead? Or will they put themselves and their careers first – and throw her, their party and their country, overboard?
Someone at last who is trying to save the Conservative Party from oblivion and solve the migrant crisis
I applaud you
I notice Rishi Sunak is very quiet at the moment. He should be defending her loud and clear - after all, he appointed her!
