As Andy Burnham’s Labour go on with more radical changes they have no mandate for - the latest being Mayors given powers to overrule local Councils on major planning decisions - the country’s political shift continues.
Much of the lefty narrative is that everything is fine in London, that crime isn’t rampant and that the battle in the capital city is between Labour and the Greens.
In fact the reality now is that most Londoners feel they are living in a state of decline, most don’t want Sadiq Khan to stand again for Mayor and Labour’s main challenger, even in London, is now Reform.
That doesn’t suit the lefty narrative of course - but this is what’s really happening. Even in London!
