The new PM seems to have changed her stance on Macron's Club.

Truss To Join European Group

I have previously covered French President Emmanuel Macron’s grand plan for a ‘European Political Community’ organisation that will meet for the first time in October.

It did seem that a few months ago Boris Johnson’s Government was playing down the idea of attending this ‘Shadow EU'.

Even Liz Truss herself back in June seemed to indicate that the UK would not be joining.

We do know that since then, it looks like unnamed senior UK officials have been trying to persuade Truss to attend.

A good piece on the European Political Community. I hear that top UK officials are trying to persuade Liz Truss to go to Prague on Oct 6 for the first meeting of the new body. Some people in London understand that if they turn up they can help to shape EPC. Turkey will be there.

Those officials seem to have gotten their way and in quite a significant u-turn, Truss is now set to attend the first meeting of this new organisation.
