On paper, a former coal miner and Labour Councillor would not be deemed Tory Prime Ministerial material.

But we live in political times so bereft of spine, personality and conviction, that in Lee Anderson, Tory MP for Ashfield, working class voters have found an unlikely hero.

This week, Lee once again ruffled feathers when he steamed into Home Office Minister Robert Jenrick – one of his own – during a Parliamentary debate about the illegal immigration crisis.

In a video since viewed over 300,000 times, Lee blasted: “When are we going to do the right thing, grow a backbone, and send them straight back the same day?”

Bravo to Lee Anderson, who's rightly furious at the continual blame game re illegal immigrants "When are we going to stop blaming the French, the ECHR, the Lefty lawyers? The blame lies in this place. When are we going to grow a backbone & send them back the same day?" 👏
