Farmers and hard-working farming families descended on London yesterday as the anti-Labour revolt grows.
Many who attended admitted that they didn’t see this inheritance tax hammering from Labour coming.
Of course the Government are still insisting that most farmers won’t be affected.
But yesterday Jeremy Clarkson repeatedly asked the huge farming crowds who of them felt they wouldn’t be hammered. Few if any put their hands up.
Who do you believe?
Chancellor Rachel Reeves has spoken of the need for farmers to cough up to help fund the NHS.
Ultimately this insane raid would supposedly raise £560m - about enough to fund the NHS for 25 hours.
Just contrast these numbers to the illegal immigration scandal still ongoing.
Migrant hotels across the country are costing taxpayers millions every single day.
The latest estimate now puts the cost of asylum accommodation and support as having gone from £739m in 2019/20 to £4.7billion in 2023/2024.
Clearly the Government should stop the dangerous and increasingly costly boat crossings crisis instead of hammering farmers.
Meanwhile the tide is still turning when it comes to public opinion.
The level of negative press Donald Trump has had from mad conspiracy theorists in mainstream media has been off the scale, including in this country.
But people aren’t stupid and are seeing through the constant, outrageously biased Remainstream media reports.
If you listened to any of them then Kamala Harris was favourite to win the US Election. Not quite how it turned out!
Many of course had written off Trump completely, only for the Donald to hit back with a slam dunk election victory.
And according to the latest Ipsos research, more voters in this country now have a positive view of Trump (25%) than our Prime Minister Keir Starmer (23%).
There is also another Party Leader who has the largest support in the country and a five-point lead over Starmer.
His name? Nigel Farage.
As Keiran Pedley of Ipsos lays out:
“Nigel Farage has the highest proportion favourable overall, but it remains to be seen whether he can convert that into increased support for Reform UK moving forward.”
Speaking of which, the polls continue to tighten.
There is now just a seven-point gap between Labour, the Tories and Reform UK in the newest JL Partners survey.
How long before Farage’s Reform take the lead?
Inheritance tax should be abolished for everyone not just farmers. Its a greedy tax that decimated families in times of grief. Poor people who inherit can't afford it either. When an asset is fully paid for it should become a family asset not an unearned asset, it was earned and paid for its not a new asset.
The Tories have said they recognise they were hammered in the election and would abolish inheritance tax for farmers but didn't mention anyone else. This blatant identity politics long after the 14 years they could have abolished it outright for everyone will not wash with me. Rupert Lowe has confirmed Reform will abolish it outright for everyone.....hear hear. We'll done Reform, Tories just virtue signalling to their identity politics group again.
What just amazes me is how Rachel Reeves is still in the job? She has been found out for altering her cv and has no experience in economics, yet there she is, running the country's finances, and the people, into the ground.
