ECHR Split

After Rishi Sunak’s Government got their EU Deal through convincingly last week, it did appear that a more serious Conservative rebellion could occur this week instead.

It centres around the ECHR - a problem that won’t go away.

The Government’s Rwanda scheme still hasn’t kicked off after the ECHR’s intervention. Now some Tory MPs have had enough - along with the country, with more voters now in favour of leaving ECHR than remaining.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman is at the centre of what is a critical moment.
