Yesterday saw the Chancellor Rachel Reeves deliver the Labour Government’s budget and when you delve into the detail, it’s a wreck.
What’s fascinating is that Labour’s honeymoon collapsed almost immediately, with trust in Keir Starmer already evaporating and his party losing support on virtually every policy area.
A Labour Party that won two-thirds of seats with only around one-third of the General Election vote was already on shaky ground.
What we’ve just seen laid out is a car crash of a budget that you can expect to see fall apart even further over the next few days.
And this at a time when the public are demanding answers from the Government over a whole range of issues. Trust is collapsing.
