Boris Wins Again

The latest YouGov poll of Conservative Party members paints a familiar picture, though with a big bombshell twist.

First of all it shows Liz Truss with a huge lead over Rishi Sunak - this time a massive 66-34 advantage.

Of the 1,089 Tory members surveyed, a majority (57%) say that they have now cast their vote.

The Remain-Leave divide is still there: 77% of Leave-voting Conservatives are backing Truss whilst a majority of Remainer Tories plan to vote for Sunak.

But outside of the Truss-Sunak contest, there is still a huge factor lurking.

The polling of what Conservatives think of Boris Johnson is explosive and poses a huge challenge to the authority of whoever becomes the next Prime Minister.
