Welcome back to Heaver News at a busy time with new Prime Minister Liz Truss having started to put together her top team.

Brexiteer Cabinet Confirmed
So the rumours were true, with big jobs in a Truss Cabinet for high-profile Brexiteers.
Kwasi Kwarteng as Chancellor, James Cleverly as Foreign Secretary and Jacob Rees-Mogg as Business Secretary are all big calls by Truss.
Conservative favourite Kemi Badenoch as International Trade Secretary is also a big job, though something of a surprise given Badenoch was being tipped to take over as Education or Culture Secretary.
For me though the biggest development is Suella Braverman becoming the new Home Secretary.
With Priti Patel having resigned and illegal migration from France spiralling even more out of control, Braverman has a major task on her hands.
However, the new Home Secretary openly and bravely laid out during her leadership campaign that the UK must leave the ECHR to tackle this growing scandal.
Will Braverman now be allowed to deliver an exit from ECHR to finally stop the boats?
Big Backbenchers
The Conservative backbench is looking quite interesting now to say the least: Boris Johnson, Rishi Sunak, Dominic Raab, Michael Gove, Priti Patel and plenty more.
Paid subscribers to Heaver News can leave comments on posts and I thought this was an interesting one from Charles yesterday who said:
“I wonder how much Priti Patel was hamstrung not just by the civil service blob, but also by Boris and the cabinet in being prevented from dealing with the true root causes of the immigration crisis.
“Was she constricted by being told not to challenge the ECHR or make any move to leave it, or push through law that marginalised the ECHR having a direct lever in the UK judicial system? Priti certainly talked about the right goals, but did she have her hands tied?
“I really hope Liz Truss has the courage of putting the UK first, and eliminating any direct controls foreign powers have over our country. I would also like to see Lord Frost have a prominent position.”
We await to hear if Lord Frost will have an official role in the Government or not.
When it comes to the now former Home Secretary Priti Patel my question is this: will she as a backbencher now openly advocate ditching ECHR?
Red Wall Alarm
This new research demonstrates how Liz Truss must deliver quickly to win back Brexiteer support - or her party faces a brutal electoral wipeout.
