It seems the penny is finally dropping.
As long-time readers of Heaver News will already know, the rise of Reform was always likely to dominate British politics for the foreseeable future.
The electoral breakthrough into Parliament made in 2024 was done at relatively short notice, led by a last minute Farage charge.
Next time round will be very different. The party is organising and preparing for a nationwide breakthrough whenever the next General Election is called.
And of course there are many elections due to take place across the country between now and then.
Up against that Reform challenge is a Chancellor in Rachel Reeves who has delivered a Labour budget that has quickly wrecked the economy.
The Government are hammering business whilst dishing out bumper 9% pay rises to some Home Office staff as illegal migrant hotel and asylum bills explode into the billions. You couldn’t make it up.
Then there’s Kemi Badenoch who far from overseeing a Conservative resurgence, has instead led her party into third place in the national polls.
I suspect an increasingly desperate Tory Party will eventually insist they want to ditch the ECHR, bring down migration and slash taxes.
But voters will ask: why didn’t you do any of this when you had the chance? Why are you only saying it now? Can I trust you? And why should I vote you back in rather than Reform?
So it all brings us to another big moment as we start 2025.

This is why the establishment are now well and truly on the ropes.
